Fouras est une presqu’ile située à 25km au sud de La Rochelle, véritable balcon sur les iles d’Aix, Ré, Oléron et Madame. Elle est aussi au centre de tous les sites emblématiques de la région. C’est avec grand plaisir que nous vous accueillerons à nouveau lorsque vos pas vous mèneront à nouveau dans notre région.

Superbe séjour de 3 semaines aux Thalassîles dans la villa Lupin, idéale pour un couple ! Parfaitement située à Fouras, à deux pas de la mer au Nord, et du Super U au Sud, la Résidence bénéficie d’une piscine couverte chauffée et d’un jacuzzi, dont nous avons bien profité ! Les villas sont parfaitement équipées, rien n’y manque. Très agréable accueil par le propriétaire, toujours là pour donner des informations touristiques ou simplement discuter de votre séjour. Cerise sur le gâteau, les chiens sont acceptés dans cette villa, le terrain est parfaitement clos ! Nous reviendrons !

After a trip on the Flow vélo between the Périgord Vert and Rochefort, we extended our holiday for another week at Les Thalassiles. We made the most of this top-of-the-range residence, well located in Fouras, very well equipped, and above all very quiet, with a manager who was always available. All for a reasonable budget, given the location, services and facilities on offer.

Nous avons passé 3 semaines du 3 au 24 août. Nous avons vécu une très belle expérience, qui demande qu’à être renouvelée. L’endroit est fabuleux, le logement très propre, le jardin bien équipé (table et chaises, parasols, transats et BBQ), comme l’espace piscine et jacuzzi. Très proche de la mer, nous avons pu faire de très belles balades. Nous sommes venus avec notre Berger Australien et les animaux sont très bien accueillis, comme les humains, à condition d’être sympas et courtois.

An evening tasting local produce and another, at my husband's request, to share shellfish. At the same time, we met some very charming holidaymakers.

For people taking the waters, of which I'm one, the Rochefort spa is 10 minutes away, 15 minutes door to door. It's well worth the diversions and 1,000 times better than the big city.
Nous avons pu découvrir l’île de Ré, l’île d’Oléron et d’Aix. Ainsi que la Venise Verte et plein d’autres beaux endroits. Déguster les crustacés dans des endroits fabuleux directement chez le producteur. Que du bonheur.

La piscine chauffée (Air et eau), couverte par son abri télescopique a été conçue et équipée pour pouvoir se baigner dans de bonnes conditions par tout temps au long de l’année. Cela a permis à nos hôtes de profiter agréablement de notre espace aquatique (piscine et bain à remous) que ce soit cet été avec ses épisodes de fortes chaleurs tempérés par la brise océanique qu’en avant et arrière saison en dépit des instabilités climatiques actuelles. Son éclairage ajoute une touche d’atmosphère « Cocooning » lors des vacances de Toussaint dès que la nuit tombe.

We have fond memories of these few relaxing days spent at the beginning of September in the villa La Mouclière, located a stone's throw from the beach and not much further from the market hall where we were able to buy fresh vegetables and fish every morning.

We spent a week in May at Villa Oleron with our daughter. Very clean and quiet accommodation. The residence is very well maintained by Mr Secourgeon and his team. We rented this small villa for two couples at the end of August. The villa Oleron is south facing with a piece of land not overlooked.
We were very well received and advised on what to do, with brochures and discount vouchers for certain sites and shops.
The villa is very clean and especially quiet. It is possible to use the swimming pool for one hour in the morning or evening, which we really enjoyed.
The location of Fouras is ideal for visiting the region such as the islands of Oléron or Ré or La Rochelle and Rochefort. The villa is very close to the sea and the SuperU shopping centre. The centre of Fouras and its fabulous market is a bit far on foot (30 to 40 minutes) but possible. We did it...
If we had to find only one small drawback...the narrowness and steepness of the staircase makes it difficult for elderly people to carry a heavy suitcase up, and the internet is not available in the rooms...but it works very well on the ground floor.
WHICH IS CERTAIN WE WILL COME BACK.

For internet access, there are indeed "shadow zones" in the rooms due to the important reinforcement of the concrete made necessary by the paraseismic standards that we must respect. To overcome this inconvenience, we are going to provide guests who wish to do so with a high-speed wifi repeater that will allow them to access the wifi in good conditions throughout the rooms. This will allow those who prefer to sleep in an environment with few electromagnetic waves to preserve their quality of sleep. The staircase is just over 90cm wide, this is already large and up to the latest standards but we understand that depending on the size and weight of the suitcase it may be difficult to climb it, unfortunately we do not have a solution to facilitate this in the current villas but we are taking this into account in the plans for the 4 duplex villas we have planned to build. It is with great pleasure that we will welcome you back to the Thalassîles.

What good memories in Fouras and Thalassiles. We were wonderfully welcomed and met a manager who took great care of us! A very clean and quiet residence, easy to access, close to the beaches and the centre. We rode our bikes all week.

Having stayed at Les Thalassiles several times, we can only recommend this place!
The villas are very well laid out, clean and the owners are always friendly and attentive.
The heated swimming pool is perfect before or after a walk, and the children are always delighted to go there and sometimes meet up with holiday friends from neighbouring villas.

It is also worth noting the particular care taken to clean and respect the rules in the residence during this particular period linked to the health crisis, which is very appreciable.

The residence is ideally located, close to La Rochelle, Rochefort, the many surrounding islands, and even the Marais Poitevin.
If you want to cycle, there are many safe cycle paths accessible to all.

My daughters and I had a wonderful holiday. The peninsula of Fouras is very pretty. Very typical, hollyhocks in the streets, the beach, the fishermen's huts...
We stayed in the villa la pointe. Kitchen equipped, sofa very comfortable, room with very good bedding, with 2 wardrobes to store our stuff. Terrace with barbecue and deckchair. Very nice to have breakfast and meals, with a big parasol.
The pool is just great. Whether the weather is good or not, the water is 30degrees. The pool is covered in case of wind or rain, so bad weather doesn't spoil your holiday.

June 2020 rental. Friendly welcome with a full tour of the house and the aquatic centre. Explanations were given for access to the pool with constraints due to COVID 19. We found the villa very clean and complete with appliances but with restricted crockery (COVID19). The bedding in the room is of very good quality. The only drawback is the neighbouring villa and the noise caused by the presence of small children in the garden and the pool. For shopping there is a super U at 500m so very practical. In the centre of Fouras (1.5km away) you have 2 markets: one for fruit and vegetables and the other for seafood. A pier south of Fouras allows you to reach the island of Aix and to discover the prodigious Fort BOYARD from very close. A region to discover on foot, by bike or by car. The residence is located to the north of Fouras in a residential area. It was a positive experience for us as it confirmed and reinforced our usual choices. F and B

We spent a very good week (February) in this new rental (created in 2013), very clean and well equipped, with terrace and garden, accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The town centre can be reached by car (approx. 1.5 km) or on foot via the popular coastal path.
Finally, the smiling and welcoming hosts are very helpful when it comes to sightseeing.

This first two-week stay in Charentes-Maritme was a great experience.
The discovery of the region from Fouras seems to us today an obvious choice.
Ideally located, in the centre of the islands and important sites, Fouras keeps a human dimension while offering all the useful services.
The Thalassiles at the entrance to the town make it easy to get around the town and to set off to any other destination by bike, car or even by sea.
After clear and efficient online booking formalities and communications, a very friendly welcome awaited us on arrival.
Until we left, we felt free to enjoy the place as if it were a pied à terre with a concierge service,
Mr. and Mrs. Secourgeon are keen to answer any request, whether it is of a practical or tourist nature.
It is a very spacious flat (F2) with much more equipment than we usually have,

Les Thalassiles, a marvellously equipped place, has magnificent accommodation and it was the villa Aix, a T3, that we chose for a week. We spent a wonderful week at the Thalassîles (villa Lupin) as a couple. The place is very quiet, pleasant, welcoming and very well located. The small plot of lawn and the terrace with the necessary furniture are perfect and - as far as the villa Lupin is concerned - perfectly exposed.

We spent a pleasant week in the villa Oleron. We were 2 adults and 2 children. The residence is very quiet overall. The accommodation is impeccable, very spacious, clean and bright, and above all functional. The interior decoration is pure as I like it.

As for the outside space, the garden and its terrace are well exposed to the sun. But not quiet enough to rest outside on the deckchairs with the noise of the garden tools. Unfortunately we had a week where all the neighbours passed the word to each other to mow their gardens and prune their shrubs, it's spring, so it's normal ...
The pool is at the right temperature and is so clean. We didn't use the Jacuzzi to support our underage children.
We appreciated the location of the residence, close to the shops and also to the ocean, very close to the coastal paths where we can go for our morning walks or in the evening, a little digestive walk to admire the "carrelets" and the beautiful landscape of the sea. The small path leads to the beach of Fouras.
We were pleasantly surprised by the town of Fouras by the sea. The town centre is very nice and well situated. I recommend the Italian-style ice-creams from the ice-cream parlour opposite the merry-go-round which are too good.

There are several beaches but you can only swim at high tide, which is why the pool is so interesting.

To be exhaustive and thus complete your testimony on Fouras, there is also a large ocean water retention basin on the edge of the Grand Plage de Fouras which allows you to swim at low tide. The swimming pool has the advantage of being able to swim in any weather in water between 28 and 30°C, whatever the state of the tide.

We booked the house, la Moucliere from 15 September to 22 September 2018. We were delighted with our stay, the house is ideally located: 5 min walk from the market and town centre of Fouras, 1st beach just in front of the house and 3 min walk from Fort Vauban and the big beach.

Chance did it right! Following a water damage in the house we had previously rented, we are lucky that there is still room at Les Thalassiles where we were able to put our bags with our son and our little dog and where we were welcomed with great kindness. Finally a quality accommodation that accepts animals! We particularly appreciated the cleanliness and the modern decoration of the accommodation where you can find everything you need, the peace and quiet, and the proximity to the sea. Moreover, the swimming pool is an undeniable plus. It is an address to remember where we will undoubtedly return.

The flat is very well equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hairdryer... In short, it is very well equipped. The swimming pool is always at 29 degrees, very clean, equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, deckchairs, a toilet nearby with a changing table.... In short, everything has been thought out for the ultimate in comfort. The owner is very, very, very nice, he gives addresses that are sometimes atypical, surprising, but one keeps an unforgettable memory and is very satisfied. We have just spent a very pleasant week in the villa Louvois with our children.
The welcome is very warm, the owners are very friendly and have organised a small welcome drink to introduce us to various sites of interest in the region, good addresses for the taste buds...
The villa is functional, in very good condition and clean.
It is nice to have a small, quiet corner of the garden, where you can lounge on the deckchairs and enjoy a good barbecue. The heated swimming pool was a delight for the children. The location of the house is ideal, close to a shopping centre and right next to the sea, for short walks.
The cultural richness of the region and the seaside activities make this gîte even more of an excellent address.

We stayed in the villa Boyard from 10 to 17 February 2018. Mr SECOURGEON, the owner, welcomed us very well. He gave us good advice to visit this region that we did not know. The accommodation is as described. The residence has developed partnerships with local businesses which allow us to have discounts on certain services.

Our family stay (2 adults + 2 small children) went very well (July 2017).
The proposed rental is of very good quality (furnishings, cleanliness, etc.); the heated swimming pool is a significant asset ... The location of the rental is also satisfactory: in the immediate vicinity of the coastal path (accessible even with a double pram!) and 15 /20 min walk from the city centre (pleasant walk).
Fouras, which we did not know, is a pleasant town combining the pleasure of strolling along the seafront, a pedestrianised town centre where it is good to stroll (with 2 covered markets)...

We had a very pleasant stay in your property thanks to the small details that make it so charming:
quality equipment, large comfortable bed, Italian shower, good size and very clear rooms, nice decoration (not possible to enjoy the terrace because of the season .... pity!)

We liked Fouras very much, especially its pedestrian street and its two markets (1 food market and 1 fish market), and it is well centred for many visits around.

We spent a week at the end of April in the villa Oleron, we really enjoyed it. Well designed property, large and very well equipped. Small quiet garden area and you may have the pleasure of seeing the squirrel at breakfast.

We were told after we moved in that we would not have access to the pool, which had been under construction for a week. He didn't tell us about it...he suggested we go to the hotel spa pool which is already busy with hotel guests on the opposite side of the property. At 1 km4 and walking with back problems it was not manageable. The owner had offered us a refund but nothing was done, we are very disappointed.

Answer: I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, however it is important to get back to the facts.

I informed you as soon as you got out of the car of the situation, and you had not at all started to move in as you claim, that we had had to embark on an important repair of the swimming pool in a hurry, that this repair had taken a week of delay, but that we had made an agreement with the hotel which has the only other heated, covered swimming pool in Fouras so that you could during your stay benefit from access to the swimming pool as well as the jacuzzi and Spa (hammam, sauna, massages) of the hotel. This hotel is located 2 steps away from your family who lives in Fouras and to whom you were visiting.

I can understand that the proposed solution did not suit you, as you had not yet started to move in, I even offered you a full and immediate refund of your stay, so that you could take a rental elsewhere on the ocean as you wished, there were many rentals available this week, but you preferred to stay.

When you then mentioned back problems that prevented you from going to the swimming pool (located 2 steps from your family's house), we offered to drive you there and pick you up during your stay at your convenience, but you refused, telling us that your parents would lend you a vehicle.

You then told us that you knew the hotel's swimming pool, where you sometimes went to listen to music at the bar (because it was close to your parents' house), and that it was often crowded. This is totally inaccurate, I have often visited the owner of this hotel for the last 2 years, having the same "pool man". We have often helped each other out.
The facility is impeccably maintained, and in addition to our services, it offers access to a counter-current swimming lane, a steam room and a sauna, as well as a relaxation area and treatments by beauticians. I have never seen this "aqua gym" with more than 4 or 5 people around the pool, and I have noticed on each visit that the atmosphere is chic and relaxed, as stated on their website.

The other 2 families facing the same problem found the proposed alternative solution very fair and took advantage of it.

You forget to mention that, although we clearly indicated the rates for each of our services when you booked, we graciously offered you the 4 sets of towels, as you had understood that the towels were included in the bed linen and that you were therefore deprived.

Your partner mentioned on another social network that he had also found dirty plates and cutlery in the dishwasher. You showed us these as you had started to move in. We were extremely surprised and shocked by this and have apologised to you. What we did not tell you, for the sake of appeasement, is that this accommodation has been cleaned and checked twice: at the end of its last tenancy in October 2016 (5 months ago) and on the morning of the day you arrived on 1/04/17.

These plates and cutlery would have escaped 2 successive cleanings and controls and if this was the case, they would have been forgotten during the last rental (5 months ago), and mould would have developed there, which was not the case, I deduce that they were placed there after ...

Once again, I am sorry that everything we have done to compensate for the unavailability of our aquatic area has not been accepted by you.
We were in a case of force majeure, the sub-contractor tiler of our "piscinist" having failed on the Tuesday before your arrival, our choice was limited to either phoning you to cancel your stay (easy solution), or to offer you the only other heated and covered swimming pool in Fouras, which we did.

The proposed aquatic area is located at 1400 meters, of high quality, offers additional services. We have offered to drive you there and pick you up at your convenience throughout your stay. We have also offered you a full refund before you move in so that you can rent a villa that suits you better. You have, in turn, denigrated and refused everything.

Our failure in this unfortunate case, where we tried to find the best solutions to the problems you were mentioning as you went along, is in fact that we did not understand that you were only interested in financial compensation, as is evident from the many disastrous testimonies with different pseudonyms that you left on the Internet, including our own site.
When you read the different comments that Mr. publishes on google +, it turns out that all his experiences are "to be avoided"...
It may be naive, but buying silence has never been part of our ethics.

In the interests of honesty and transparency to our internet visitors we will leave your full comment and our full response on our website.

We came to spend a fabulous week at Thalassîles in September 2016 in a magnificent setting, with a wonderful welcome. We rented the Villa RE from 17 to 24/09/2016, and for the second time we were won over by the location of the property, its layout, the comfort and cleanliness of the Villa, the communal areas and the swimming pool-jacuzzi area, and by the perfect welcome from Mr and Mrs SECOURGEON. This path leads to the North Beach area. We can see in this tour with our two youngest children. The location is very convenient, clean and convenient from midday to night. A wide path along the beach leads to the North Beach. Very good stay in Fouras with family with children and grandchildren. The accommodation is very well designed, the bedding is very good. We did not lack anything. The owners are very friendly. The small downside is the lack of information about the use of the jacuzzi and the fact that children and babies cannot wear sun cream when they go into the pool. It's a shame to have this kind of constraint on holiday... It's the first time we've experienced this on a site where there is a swimming pool.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have enough information about the use of the Jacuzzi, especially as we insist that you contact us when you first use the Jacuzzi and the gym. As far as sun protection for the pool is concerned, this is an unfortunate misunderstanding between us as there is no prohibition in this sense, just the request to take a shower before going into the pool (which keeps the pool water cleaner) and for small children (babies) to use anti-UV bathing shirts instead, a practice that we have been taught and warmly recommended by previous holidaymakers.

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Ferienwochen in Fouras verbracht. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The supermarket is only a few hundred metres away and in the village you can reach the beach and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Fouras is well suited for tours on the nearby islands. Wir hatten unsere Fahrräder dabei, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. The owner is very good and speaks good German. We can recommend Les Thalassiles to anyone!

What can we say about our one-week stay after the 14th of July 2016 at Les Thalassilles?
A very warm welcome from Mrs. and Mr. Secourgeon who are available at all times.
The detached Villa Lupin is located in a small, quiet complex with parking, covered swimming pool, gym with equipment, jaccouzi. The accommodation has two rooms with a tiled terrace and private garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, TV and Wifi.
Mr. Secourgeon warmly recommends his region:
- Fourras with its daily fish and seafood market, its beaches ...

Pleasant, the key word for a stay at the Thalassîles!
Couple of curists in Rochefort, we spent, in May, 4 very pleasant weeks at the Thalassîles in spite of a variable weather, nevertheless much better than in many other regions then!
This small, well-designed complex offers pleasant conditions for a stay (parking, calm, covered and heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, - which we did not take advantage of this time because of our cure!) The villa Aix, chosen to have enough space to live there for a month and possibly receive our children, is (like the other accommodations) pleasantly decorated and equipped with every comfort.
The owner and his wife are very welcoming hosts. Mr Secourgeon is a good listener and very attentive to the well-being of his tenants. He is available to provide any useful information about Fouras, its history, its good addresses...
Les Thalassîles is located 200m from the coastal path, in its still wild part with numerous "carrelets", which gives access to the charming North beach. Beautiful walks to observe the ocean and its changing iridescent colours. As for Fouras, its village, its daily market, its other beaches, its pretty little streets... Let's stop here because we fell in love with it and hope it will keep its authenticity!
In short, you have understood, we are delighted and will return to Fouras and the Thalassîles!

Very warm and friendly welcome, thanks to Mr Secourgeon for his availability. Quiet residence, well situated not far from the carrelets and the Super U. The villa Louvois was very well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine.
As the sun was not shining, we made good use of the pleasant indoor heated swimming pool and the gym and of course we visited the area.

Answer: Thank you too for sharing with our visitors. This beginning of June is indeed far from offering us the sunshine we are used to. The telescopic pool cover has played its role to the full, allowing you to enjoy the pool every day (water at 28°C and air at 35°C ++).

We were in Rochefort for 3 weeks and discovered this property in Fouras which corresponded to our expectations. We stayed in the villa BOYARD which was well laid out and very bright. Mr SECOURGEON is very friendly and available and gives good advice on discovering the region (tourism, cycling and hiking).
We will be sure to tell our friends about this address and we will be happy to return next year.

One-week stay at the end of April 2016 in Fouras residence Les Thalassiles.
Les Thalassiles is well situated in a quiet area close to the Anse de Fouras and its "carrelets", and 400 metres from a Super U.
The residence is quiet, well laid out, has a swimming pool heated to 28° under a mobile shelter where the temperature was close to 48°, a jacuzzi, and a private enclosed car park.
The owner is very friendly, available and efficient.

La Mouclière is a charming house, very well equipped and certainly perfect for a family, with an enclosed garden and a children's playground just opposite. We had the pleasure of staying in the 2 bedroomed villa in Les Thalassiles the last week in July 2015. The houses are beautiful, clean, and very well equipped. The area itself was lovely and quite yet a short walk away from the beaches and town of Fouras. Whilst we were unlucky with the weather (its was a bit mixed and windy) the pool was a delight and had wonderful glass doors and roof to keep out the wind so my 11 year old could use it despite the wind and a bit of rain. Yet when the sun shone you could pull back the door to bask in the glorious sunshine. Maurice and Veronique were fantastic and could not do enough for you. It was just a pity we only had the week otherwise it would have been lovely to stay longer. From our base at Les Thalassiles we would easily pop up to La Rochelle, Ile De Re, down to Rochfort and indeed up to Marans and the wonderful network of rivers for boating. We even got down to the Cote Sauvage a fantastic stretch of coastline with fabulous waves for the kids. All in all a 5 star experience and thanks you again Maurice and Veronique, we'll be back!!!

We spent a week in the villa Aix des Thalassîles.
The accommodation is really perfect: modern (big screen TV, Wifi, Blu-ray, etc.), comfortable, very clean and pleasant to live in!
A bit far from the city centre but a large Super U is 300 meters away. So you're not in the crowd and as the seaside walks are very close you can really get some fresh air. Perfect for those who love nature, walking and cycling!
The owner's welcome is very friendly and he is always ready to answer any questions you may have.
I really recommend this accommodation!

We were met by Maurice the owner who showed us around the property. It was really well equipped and very clean. Maurice was very friendly and helpful wanting to make our stay enjoyable and suggesting places of interest to visit.
The location on the edge of Fouras was quiet but easily accessible to all amenities - the beaches , shops and restaurants.
A pre-authorised credit card may be a better way of holding a security deposit for visitors outside the Euro zone as exchange rates make the current system an added expense.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation located 2 steps from the sea. The area is very quiet, my wife, my 2 year old son and myself were able to rest peacefully. The owner is very friendly and does his best to make the stay as pleasant as possible. He is always available and responds quickly to emails when booking. The area is great and offers many possibilities for visits, walks, markets, beaches ... We will return without a doubt!

Excellent location of the residence. Located near the north beach and the coastal path. A great welcome from the owners and a great availability. The flats are spacious, bright and quiet.
We spent 3 weeks in this place. I recommend it to you. A restaurant to do Ti case on the big beach .

Everything is as advertised. The accommodation is new and therefore very pleasant.
The owner's welcome was very pleasant and his advice on how to visit was useful.
The stay is suitable.
The bathrooms are nice and the rooms are spacious (the wardrobe in the children's room was not yet installed but the parents' room was so big that it was enough)
Only tip: a sponge in the kitchen would have been appreciated 🙂

Together with our sister's family, 4 children and 2 young people, we spent 10 wonderful days in the Villa Madame in August/September 2014.
The layout of the house is very good, but not very good. The beautiful beach is very close to the beach and over the garden you can reach the sandy Nordstrand. The large supermarket is also in the vicinity, and there are several car parks for shopping and sightseeing in the centre of town.
On the way to Rochefort and La Rochelle, you can easily drive along the Zubringerstraße to the motorway.
The house "Les Thalassiles" is very well equipped and has been expanded to include a gymnasium and pool. The house "Madame" was also very large and well equipped for 6 people.
Herr Secourgeon hat uns überaus freundlich empfangen, seine Empfehlungen waren sehr nützlich. He stands us with Rat and Tat zur Verfügung.
Zusammengefaßt: Les Thalassiles können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

The Schwimmbad has already been built. Bei kaltes Wetter, wird es beheizt und im Hallenbad sich verwandeln. It should be opened in May 2015.

Fouras is an authentic and rustic village, with many beaches (from Plage Central to Fort Vauban), and is ideally situated for exploring the countryside. Our "Ré" building was very good as new: clean and tidy, practical and comfortable, with a rustic layout for the North Beach. Very reasonably priced luxury accommodation.
Exceptional equipment, very warm welcome, nothing was missing in this very spacious and bright flat.
Private and closed parking.
Terrace with barbecue.
etc..... the list is long.
Close to the city centre and a stone's throw from the seafront.

We stayed for 1 week (from 19 to 25 April) in the villa Ré with our 2 young children.
The villa is spacious, very well equipped and decorated, and just as described.
We were able to enjoy the garden and the outdoor meals at the end of April, which was very nice. The children were happy.
Access to the coastal path leading to the North beach is nearby. Fouras is a very pleasant town and ideally situated for touring the region.
The owner is lovely, welcoming and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of the area.

We stayed in the villa Oleron from 22 to 26 April.
In all respects in accordance with the description on the website. No bad surprises during our stay.
We appreciated the comfort of the villa, its complete equipment, without forgetting the kindness and availability of the owner.
Fouras is a good starting point for visiting La Rochelle, Rochefort and the surrounding area.

This flat is very comfortable, well located, very spacious and very well equipped. The facilities are excellent in every respect.
In addition, the owner is friendly and everything is organised in the best possible way. We felt like we were being welcomed at a friend's house.

Very pleasant new property with good equipment. It is well designed for holidays and the adjoining house is not a nuisance. The owner is very friendly.
Fouras is a very lively town and the ideal starting point for travelling between Oléron and the Ile de Ré.

The rental is true to the published photos. Quiet residential area with parking.
The house is brand new and fully equipped. The 2 bedrooms are spacious. The bedding is good.
The garden is pleasant. The terrace allows you to enjoy it. We liked the possibility of barbecuing.
There is a supermarket nearby.
On the other hand, the city centre is a bit far if you want to go on foot (unless you are very motivated). But no problem to go there by bike or car. There is plenty of free parking. The beaches are accessible by foot or car.
Beware of the tides. At low tide, it is difficult to swim (mud).
But there is a seawater "holding" pool at the beach in the town centre.
The market and market halls are open every morning.

We booked this house for 1 week in August (10-17/08/13). We are a couple with a 15 month old baby.
The owner is extremely friendly and his welcome was very warm.
We were the second tenants since the house was built. The house is new, well equipped (even for a baby), and tastefully decorated.
The area is ideal for walks, the town centre is lovely and there are many beaches. Beware of swimming at high tide, otherwise beware of the mud.
To do: Aquarium of La Rochelle, Ile d'Aix, Pointe de la fumée

The rental is of very good quality, everything is thought out for the comfort of the tenant. The joint ownership of the dwellings is not a problem as it is well designed and allows the tenant to remain independent.
Fouras is lively and very pleasant with its daily market (fish market and traditional market). I highly recommend this rental to couples, families and seniors.
